TheStarScoop.Com talked to rising star Maxx Hennard about his role in Sorority Row.

The Star Scoop:

Tell us about Sorority Row.

Max Hennard:

Without giving everything away, it's a slasher flick. So there's somebody killing people and no one knows who it is. That's the movie. I wish I could make it sound more complex and awesome, but it's a slasher.

The Star Scoop:

Who is your character?

Max Hennard:

I play Mickey and he is pretty much a guy who's just trying to get girls. That's really all he's worried about. Trying to get laid on the last night of college. That's what he's all about. In pretty much every scene that he has, he lets that idea be known about him.

The Star Scoop:

There were definitely a lot of girls working on the movie with you! Did everyone click right away?

Max Hennard:

It was cool. This was my first major motion picture, so I was definitely out of my element when I first got there. The director, everybody, the cast, was so laid back and cool. We all hung out...it was fun. All around a great experience, especially for a first feature film like that, of that caliber.

The Star Scoop:

How would you convince people to check out Sorority Row?

Max Hennard:

Well, besides the fact that I'm in it...I would say it's going to be very entertaining. It's a good idea for a movie. It's tons of girls...tons for everybody. Great girls in there that every girl likes. A lot of people like Audrina. Carrie Fisher is awesome, Hollywood royalty. Briana Evigan from Step Up. There's a lot of cute guys in the movie, too. All the main guys are good looking dudes. It's going to be entertaining. They've come up with some really crazy stuff for this film. It's just fun.

The Star Scoop:

Tell us about the scary scenes...when you're filming scenes like that, where you guys have to be really scared or people are screaming, what is it like on set trying to cultivate that atmosphere?

Max Hennard:

When I first got on set the day I knew I was going to have to do my death scene, I was so nervous because I'd never screamed like that in my life. There's no way to practice something like that. I knew when I got on set, everybody's like, Hey man, it's your big day, and I'm like, Yeah, okay, trying to keep my cool but inside I'm thinking, oh my god, what I am I gonna sound like. I think maybe that element of fear of just being embarrassed in front of the 50 people that are around you, and the fact that the sets are designed so realistic and well [helped]. You're able to block everything out. Everybody on a set that big is so professional that they know what their job is. Once the screams came out, it was easy. I actually ended up getting a hernia from screaming all day. I screamed for like 12 hours. I had to go to the E.R. that night from screaming so much. It was pretty wild.

The Star Scoop:

What do you want your fans to know about you?

Max Hennard:

I guess pretty much that I am not just a scream queen, you know [laughs]. I definitely don't want Sorority Row to be the defining moment of my career. I'm very proud that I got the opportunity. I've been given a huge responsibility. I also do music. I'm trying to make it in the music industry as well.

The Star Scoop:

Do you have any other projects coming up?

Max Hennard:

You can see me in Dear John, which is coming out February 5th. That's starring Channing Tatum. Right now in the works is a movie called Unstoppable, starring Denzel Washington and Chris Pine.
