Victoria Justice
Meet Victoria Justice, the newest Zoey 101 cast member. She has also been seen on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Victoria is spunky, grounded, and a sweetheart, a refreshingly healthy combination for a young actress. We couldn't wait to find out what she's been up to.
THE STAR SCOOP:
How has
Zoey 101 been going with the hiatus wrap up?
VICTORIA JUSTICE:
Everything is good. We were all going to miss each other until the next filming.
THE STAR SCOOP:
How did you get involved with
Zoey 101 in the first place?
JUSTICE:
This is how the whole thing started. I was about eight years old and I told my mom I want to do commercials and do stuff like that. So first I started out modeling in Miami, Florida. That's where I grew up, and after that we decided that we wanted to go out to L.A. and try things here. We came out here and I got a couple things. I got a guest starring role on the Disney Channel show
The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Then
Zoey 101 came along and they were looking for a new character on the show. I auditioned for that and I got a callback, and I got a screen test a couple days later, I got the call that I had gotten
Zoey 101. I was extremely happy; I was bouncing up and down and screaming. That was a really great moment.
THE STAR SCOOP:
You've worked with both Disney and Nickelodeon. Do you see similarities?
JUSTICE:
Yeah, they're both definitely really fun networks for kids, and they teach kids really good lessons, and they're really entertaining, too. The shows are really great.
THE STAR SCOOP:
Going back to Disney, what was working on
The Suite Life of Zack and Cody like?
JUSTICE:
It was a lot of fun, working with everyone on set. That was actually one of my very first things that I did on TV. And it was in front of a live audience so that was extremely cool. At first I was really nervous, because that was the first time I had ever done anything like that. Everyone was really nice on set, and they made me feel really warm and welcome. Fun.
THE STAR SCOOP:
What do you like to do that other kids not in the acting business do?
JUSTICE:
I go to school, and I love hanging out with my friends, playing sports, and swimming, going to the mall and shopping is one of my favorite things to do. I love hanging out with my family and friends, that's basically what I do.
THE STAR SCOOP:
Ok, you like to shop. If you were at the mall, where would we find you?
JUSTICE:
Definitely Abercrombie and Hollister. They're like two of my favorite stores. Also Mrs. Field's cookies, because they're really good!
THE STAR SCOOP:
Has getting more recognition affected you at all?
JUSTICE:
Not at all. All my friends treat me exactly the same. Everyone is really nice. I think it's so cool that kids want my autograph and want to take pictures with me. I'm so extremely flattered.
THE STAR SCOOP:
If you became really, really famous, doing six movies a year, where do you see yourself education-wise?
JUSTICE:
My education is my number one priority. I definitely plan to go to college. That would be awesome, if I got like six movies a year! Education is number one.
THE STAR SCOOP:
Now that you're in the public eye, you're a role model for young girls.
JUSTICE:
I think it's so cool that some girls look up to me. It's a really cool thing. I just act the same as I always do. When people come up to me and ask me questions, I always try and give good advice.
THE STAR SCOOP:
Where do you see yourself in the next few years, where do you want to be?
JUSTICE:
I definitely would still want to be acting. I'd still be in school. I'd love to do a dramatic comedy with Johnny Depp or Hilary Swank or Juliette Lewis, there are so many great actors out there that I'd love to work with. But I'd to do a motion picture.
THE STAR SCOOP:
Who do you attribute your level headedness to?
JUSTICE:
My mom. Definitely. I love my mom, she's always there with me and everything. Definitely my mom.
THE STAR SCOOP:
You have your own official website, www.victoriajustice.com.
JUSTICE:
I have my own website and I actually get to talk [to the fans] and get to know them. That's the really cool thing about having a website. Without my fans, where would I be? I always make time for them.
