Jennifer Cambra Exclusive Interview

Jennifer CambraIntroducing Jennifer Cambra, the cover girl for Ujena Magazine. It’s the number one swimwear in the country, so this emerging talent is prepping to swim with the big fish, and make some serious waves in the entertainment business.

THE STAR SCOOP:
People will see your image, but won’t really know you. Tell us about yourself.

JENNIFER CAMBRA:
I’m like the average girl with a bunch of confidence, and intelligence is important to me. I work hard, I play hard.

THE STAR SCOOP:
How did you choose a career in entertainment?

JENNIFER CAMBRA:
I’ve actually been performing since I was really young. It’s always been a part of my life. I can’t really remember a specific moment when I decided to go into the industry.

THE STAR SCOOP:
What is one aspect of modeling business that you don’t like?

JENNIFER CAMBRA:
I would probably say, for modeling, it’s hard, or it’s not always easy to have photographers who you don’t know, evaluating your looks.

THE STAR SCOOP:
Is it nerve-wracking for you, that your photos will be seen by so many people?

JENNIFER CAMBRA:
It’s not really. I am really adamant about the types of shoots I will do and won’t do. Anything that makes me feel uncomfortable, I won’t do, and anybody who works with me knows that.

THE STAR SCOOP:
What are you working on right now?

JENNIFER CAMBRA:
Currently, I have recently joined with my new manager, and just auditioning, and still doing a lot of bikini shoots, stuff like that. It’s really exhilarating, it’s really fun and fast paced. It’s fun, it’s all putting two people’s creativity together and producing excellent shots or images. [Also,]‘ I’m hoping just to break into the film industry. I’ve done a lot of theater my whole life. I prefer more serious roles. I think they impact audiences more effectively. There are a lot of comedy roles that would do the same. [I'm looking for] any role that pushes me in investigating abilities within myself.

THE STAR SCOOP:
You’re going through the process of breaking into the industry. What are your secrets? Can you offer some advice?

JENNIFER CAMBRA:
Really the only thing I can do is go in with a confidence. I know my abilities. I can perform and make whatever audition or piece better. Be yourself, by having confidence in yourself. For models, it’s important to know not to compare yourself to other people. There’s no way you can be anybody else. And acting, too. You can’t wish to be them, when you’re not. It goes with the confidence thing as well. Just believe in yourself and [don'] pay attention to the competition or the pressure.
