Kyle Massey, of That’s So Raven is another rising star who is in the process of making his mark on young Hollywood. We caught up with Kyle to find out what he’s all about, and to help all those fans out there learn the difference between conniving Cory and the real Kyle Massey.
THE STAR SCOOP:
Describe yourself using three words.
KYLE MASSEY:
Energetic, friendly and loud.
THE STAR SCOOP:
You’re young to decide on a career already. Why acting?
KYLE MASSEY:
I didn’t realize how much fun you could have just being yourself. It’s the same as when you act like you are sick to get out of going to school. Sometimes your parents believe your performance, sometimes they don’t.
THE STAR SCOOP:
How has the success of That’s So Raven impacted your life?
KYLE MASSEY:
It has impacted my life tremendously. It has allowed me to meet so many great people. It has also taken me to so many different places that I will never forget.
THE STAR SCOOP:
What is a day in the life of Kyle Massey like? It’s very fast paced. In Los Angeles, there is always something going on, whether it’s work related or charity events or just fun movie premieres. In Atlanta, it’s sleep late, company every night, lots of video games, motorcycle riding with my brother and my friends and family. And of course, school everyday.
THE STAR SCOOP:
Tell us a little about your character on That’s So Raven, Cory.
KYLE MASSEY:
Cory started out being the pesky little brother to Raven. He matured into a money making, girl loving, business man. Now he is in junior high school. Cory had his first kiss. He is a lot like any typical young boy. He likes money and girls.
THE STAR SCOOP:
How are you and Cory alike? Different?
KYLE MASSEY:
We are a lot alike in the sense that I have an older brother. If you ask my brother if I get on his nerves, he’ll say yes. In real life I spend my own money but Cory spends everyone else’s money.
THE STAR SCOOP:
The quickies: Favorite color? Favorite food? Favorite song right now?
KYLE MASSEY:
Favorite color: Red. Favorite food: corn and fried chicken. Favorite song: “Lean With It Rock With It,” by Franchise Boys.
THE STAR SCOOP:
What is the best compliment you’ve received for your acting?
KYLE MASSEY:
That I had the comedic timing of Jackie Gleason. The director from my movie “Life Is Ruff” told me that. I didn’t know who Jackie Gleason was before my parents told me. Now I know that was a huge compliment.
THE STAR SCOOP:
If acting doesn’t work out, where will we find you?
KYLE MASSEY:
Maybe animation because I like to draw.
THE STAR SCOOP:
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
KYLE MASSEY:
Opening some type of business. I haven’t quite narrowed it down yet, but something is coming. Or owning a few pieces of real estate that generate revenue for me and creates fun, safe places for kids to hang out and have fun. Kinda Donald Trumpish for kids, I hope!
