Feast on DVD Unrated: From Executive Producers Wes Craven, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, and Chris Moore
Starring: Balthazar Getty, Henry Rollins, Navi Rawat, Jenny Wade, Krista Allen, Eric Dane
THE STAR SCOOP’S REVIEW:
Just like a starving man with a full meal in front of him, Feast dives right in. With a mash of people stuck together in a remote bar, the clever character introduction starts the movie off right. Unfortunately, in the darkness of the setting and blood red coating that envelopes much of the film, the cast of semi- familiar names including Balthazar Getty and Krista Allen, just gets lost. However, the heroes and heroines emerge early, and take charge, as one by one death befalls another unfortunate fighter and the others struggle to survive. While it lacks any major objective (except to frighten), which is typical to horror films, this does not detract from the scare factor. Incredibly gruesome, Feast never fails to go for the gore. While the monsters are unrealistic, viewers see just enough, and just little enough to find the fear. Whether you’re gripping your chair, peeking out from behind closed eyes, or staring this one down, the Unrated DVD version just might make you lose your own guts!
